Our Macmillan coffee morning was organised by Daisy as this is a charity dear to her heart. Daisy is one of our incredible seamstresses and was there to welcome everyone.

Over 40 people came and enjoyed some yummy cakes and hot drink whilst testing out our handmade furniture and chatting with friends. Having a Coffee Morning is all about getting together with people to have fun, we wanted the coffee morning to be just that, a chance to get together with friends and family, have fun and raise some money for a good cause. We thought the showroom was a perfect venue for this event is was just wonderful to see people enjoying themselves in the üp showroom.

Meg and Bruce Anderson (below), who live locally said “We walk our dogs, Bertie and Bonnie, past the showroom and have watched it really develop over the past year, it is a beautiful showroom”.

Valerie said “It is a great atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and the sofas are made to last, it’s great to see they are made here in Winchcombe”.

Sam Timings, Owner and Director at üp, said “We were so pleased that so many people came and enjoyed themselves. I was really touched at the generosity of people with their donations and help with the baking. It was so nice to see so many people in the showroom enjoying themselves and helping us to raise money for such a great charity I can’t wait to do the next event.”

Rebecca Timings, wife of Sam and Head of Visual at üp said “When Daisy came to me and asked if we could organise a Macmillan coffee morning I was thrilled. I knew how important the charity was to her and I wanted to help in any way I could to plan a morning for people to enjoy and also hopefully to raise some money. We were so lucky everyone was so generous and lots of the other local businesses helped us with prizes for the raffle and came along. It was so nice to be able to do something for such a wonderful charity and to get people together and have a bit of fun, we are really grateful to all then helped make the day a success.”

Daisy commented “It was so lovely to see everyone coming together to raise money for a good cause, Sam and Rebecca were so supportive to me in organising a lovely event in the showroom.”

We are so grateful to all those that came along, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We hope to hold many more events in 2022 including our official opening, so watch this space.

See you soon.
