üp üp AND AWAY!
Over the years we have quietly designed, made and sold upholstered furniture directly to the public, but we now feel ready to be less quiet about it. Having started as Upholstery Techniques, followed by an abbreviation to Uptec, we are now ready to launch our brand üp – we like to keep things simple.
We believe our story and personality is reflected in our furniture, which is why we feel strongly about staying connected to where it all started. We just cannot wait to share the üp magic with you!
MEET YOUR DESIGNERS
From our workshops in the Cotswolds, we manufacture furniture for Conran and Liberty as well as newer brands such as Pinch, Maker & Son, Rose Uniacke and Oka. We work with fantastic young design-led procurement companies including Dodds & Shute, Russel Sage Studio and Conran contracts. We carry out projects for British design-led craft focussed names including Benchmark, hotels such as those of the Soho House Group and locally Farncombe Estate not forgetting all the famous name restaurants in the D&D London portfolio and other familiar eatery names besides. We take great pride in our British heritage.
OUR JOURNEY
Over the past four decades our founder, Phil Timings, has taken inspiration from modern and evolving trends from around the world and it has always been his intention to produce high quality luxury furniture that is both comfortable and attractive. Using natural materials where possible all our sofas and high-quality hard wood beech frames are handmade by our skilled craftspeople from our family run workshops in the Cotswolds.

Here at üp we like to keep moving, continually sourcing and developing innovative designs, materials and fabrics to keep us ahead of the market and keep challenging and exciting our production team.
You will find within our collection a variety of furniture both contemporary and traditional but always designed and produced to “Last a Life Time”.
